Hey guys, its been a minute but I’m super excited to share with you the invites for my daughters upcoming 8th birthday. We are just a few short weeks away from the party so I am in full prep mode over here. Let’s just say my daughter Leilani is Lego Friends obsessed. If you’re not familiar with this girl version of Legos they are based on a group of 5 friends who live in Heartlake City. Playhouse DIY Transformation
My husband and I had been talking for a while about building our girls a custom playhouse. We had some grand plans and a pretty awesome Pinterest board to go along with it but that ladies & gentlemen is where it stopped. Does anyone ever really have time to turn all those Pinterest dreams into reality? Anyhow one Saturday morning I was scrolling my Facebook feed and there was a post in one of the mom groups that this mom had a playhouse she was getting rid of for FREE. All you had to do was come pick it up. Say what? There was like 20 other peeps before me but what the heck I messaged her anyway. Luck musta been on my side because she said its all yours! Say what? So off the hubbs went in his handy dandy truck to scoop up my loot! While daddy was gone the girls decided they wanted their very own bakery so they could bake mommy chocolate cakes all day long. Sweet! One amazing bakery coming right up! Look at her though, she was a sad little thing wasn’t she? Dirty & dingy with her roof on backwards lookin like a hot mess. Swan Lake Invitations
There are two things I obsess the most about when it comes to planning one of my daughters parties. Invitations & cake. The invitations are your guests first look into your event, your theme, your colors, it gives them an idea of what to expect. Then the cake…well you can’t have a birthday party without cake so it’s kinda the most important part in my eyes in regards to decor! I always try to impress when it comes to the invitations and I have so much fun designing them. I wanted something truly magical this year for my daughters Swan Lake party. I knew right away I wanted to do something Acrylic. I see it becoming a very hot party trend next year.
