Enchanted Seas

My little Olivia. Sweet, sweet Olivia. So soft spoken, really quite shy (she gets that from me) and such a little hugger. Always wanting hugs & cuddles. I hope she never looses that. She is about to turn 5 in less than a month so I am in full party planning mode over here. My most favorite time of the year!  When I asked her what kind of party she wanted she said “Let’s Be Mermaids!” so that we will be. I have sequin skirts for all of us to wear, I’m making mermaid crowns & hair accessories for all the girls and lots of special touches. In order for a mermaid to come though, they need to be invited she said. So we wrote them a song, I planned a sunset session at the beach so we could sing them that song & now we sit back and see if they show up!

Olivia’s Pixie Hollow

Welcome to the land of fairytales! It’s finally here! I have been dying to share this party for almost a whole year! Last August we celebrated our little Olivia turning 4 with a Pixie Hollow party. If you know me then you know that fairies are my jam and anything enchanted is totally up my alley. Enchantment to me is like magic, it just makes everything special and that is what childhood should be all about, believing in that magic. So when it comes to my kids parties I try my hardest to bring as much enchantment as possible and this party was oozing magic. Definitely my most favorite party I’ve EVER done. I wanted Olivia to look back on this day and think…”That was the day I was a real life fairy.” Usually about a month before my kids birthdays I take their yearly milestone photos. I love to document how much they’ve grown in a year and it gives me another shoot to plan out and put my creativity to work. I blogged about Olivia’s 4th birthday Fairytale Session a few months back if you need a refresher and believe me you do because it all ties into this party. The quick run down of it though is we set out into the “Enchanted Fourest” in search of Fairies to invite to her party. After much searching we weren’t successful so we left a pint sized invitation for them in hopes they would find it and one might show up to her party. Star Spangled Birthday

Here we are one day before the 4th of July and I am just now getting around to sharing with you our patriotic Star Spangled Birthday….sorry, I’ve been busy okay! Lucky for you though it has a lot of great last minute ideas you can still pull together in time. When I found out my girlfriends daughters birthday was coming up I thought how fun to share a birthday with America, I must throw her a party!! I teamed up with Shindigz which made the planning really fun because they have a lot of patriotic decor to choose from. Although it’s too late for you to get the supplies in time for this 4th of July celebration we still have Labor Day & Veteren’s Day coming up.  Plus I was able to find a lot of fun paper items online that you can still print today and work into your party for tomorrow. The Owen Express

Are you guys ready to take a ride on The Owen Express? I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this theme. I did it before way back in the day when I first started styling parties for private clients but I didn’t use any of my own designs. Ever since then I’ve been kicking myself for not taking the time to design anything because I love the vintage feel of it all. I knew the day would eventually come when I would do this theme again so I jumped at the chance to put some new designs together for my Etsy shop.
