My little Olivia. Sweet, sweet Olivia. So soft spoken, really quite shy (she gets that from me) and such a little hugger. Always wanting hugs & cuddles. I hope she never looses that. She is about to turn 5 in less than a month so I am in full party planning mode over here. My most favorite time of the year! When I asked her what kind of party she wanted she said “Let’s Be Mermaids!” so that we will be. I have sequin skirts for all of us to wear, I’m making mermaid crowns & hair accessories for all the girls and lots of special touches. In order for a mermaid to come though, they need to be invited she said. So we wrote them a song, I planned a sunset session at the beach so we could sing them that song & now we sit back and see if they show up!
Because of the Brave
You guys know the saying….Land of the Free…..Because of the Brave. I’m so excited to share these photos because I’m really proud of this session! Maybe its because I have a special place in my heart for the military. So many members of my family have served. Uncles, cousins, my brother retired a few years ago after 20 plus years and my dad has a purple heart from serving in Vietnam. And let me tell you there is nothing that will get me choked up quicker than watching a military homecoming. Stop it already! I’ve been wanting to capture a military family for a while but I just don’t know any in the area we live in, until I met Cori. Our kids were in the same Kinder class and I eventually started chatting with her through a mom group. Once I found out her husband was serving I said you have to let me photo your family! Just so happens she was on board and was able to talk her husband into getting all dressed up. So take a look at this fun session with a little bit of fancy, a little bit of casual, I went a little overboard with catching the sun flares but hey that’s just me and then we even worked in some GQ shots of her son if he ever wants to take up modeling. 🙂 [Read more…]
Mermaids & Pirates Twin Cake Smash
I realized this morning that I haven’t blogged any cake smash sessions. Why? I have no idea. Smashes are my most favorite shoot to photograph because it combines my love for styling, photography & cake all into one session! So I decided to hop on first thing and share with you one of my favorite smashes to date. A twin smash so you get double the cuteness and double the cake!
Since this is my first time bringing you a smash session, I wanted to share a little bit about what I offer. [Read more…]
