Are you guys ready to take a ride on The Owen Express? I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this theme. I did it before way back in the day when I first started styling parties for private clients but I didn’t use any of my own designs. Ever since then I’ve been kicking myself for not taking the time to design anything because I love the vintage feel of it all. I knew the day would eventually come when I would do this theme again so I jumped at the chance to put some new designs together for my Etsy shop. I teamed up with my good friend Desiree and we tackled it all together for her little man Owen. So let’s take a ride and I’ll show you what we came up with! I firmly believe there should always be something out front to welcome your guests. Whether it be some balloons, a welcome sign or in this case all of the above plus a sidewalk train track. For the sidewalk Desiree used about 4 rolls of black electrical tape from the dollar store. This Platform sign is one of my new designs. It can be customized to your sons age number and can be found here. The cutest little ticket booth there ever was. This stand has come in handy so many times. I most recently used it for my Fresh Squeezed Lemonade shoot. I will be hosting some lemonade themed mini session in just a few short weeks for anyone wanting to fill my last few open spots! Check out these fun little custom tickets I made for the booth. The kids had a blast with them all afternoon using them to play games.
These fun centerpiece picks look great stuck inside some gravel or could work great as cake toppers as well. This adorable number 3 felt train track number was made by Southern Lady Gifts and can be found here. Time to fuel up!Every water bottle needs a topper… …and every water bottle needs a label. I made a few different signs to be placed thru out and you can find them here. Order from the ones I already have made or you can message me on Etsy for some custom ones.
With leftover electrical tape from the walkway we made these easy RxR inspired plates to be used for cake later. I picked up some pie pans from the dollar store to use as plates to make it feel like the kids were panning for gold. To tie into that we served up gold nuggets for lunch. Fun silverware wraps can be found here. Drink tags can be found here. Straw toppers here. Train track coasters can be found here. Are you ready to wet your whistle? I cut strips of black paper out to form a train track on top of the drink table then used the water bottles to make a train. Diesel Fuel Label can be found here. All Aboard the dessert train! Cupcake Toppers can be found here. Treat labels can be found here.
Don’t you love it when you find perfect napkins to match your theme? I purchased these from Stesha Party. Conductor Staches…..so cute!! When your cake pop lady can’t come thru for a last minute shoot check out Starbucks. 🙂 Custom favor bags can be found here. Banner can be found here. Thank you tags can be found here. Now onto some party fun! Playing the train game! After the kids ate we set up a toss the coal in the hole game. Then it was time for cake!
