“Twenty Two”

This is Laal…and she just turned 22. We celebrated together with a photo shoot and I have to say I am in love with this session! It was gloomy & overcast but every once in a while the sun would peek out from behind the clouds and give us some solid gold. So why do a photo shoot for turning 22? It’s not a milestone birthday but I say why not? I think everyone should have their photo taken yearly. Doesn’t matter whether you’re turning 2 or 22. We all change in a years time and it should be documented. This is your life and your life is beautiful! When you’re old and grey you’re going to look back on these photos and they will flood you with memories. Your children will cherish them when you are no longer here with them. Life needs to be documented because every picture has a story to tell. 
Anyhow, I meet Laal a couple years back at a spa I was working at and I just loved her personality. She reminded me so much of myself when I was younger. We hit it off and I ended up taking her photos for her 21st birthday. I have yet to share that session on the blog but I’ll get around to it one of these days. In the meantime though take a look at some of my favorites from this session I like to call Twenty Two. I brought the hat, she brought her bestie and it was pure golden magic.
