Are you ready to start the New Year off with the cutest Lego Friends party ever? I’m so excited to share with you everything I whipped up for my daughter’s 8th birthday with the help of my usual fabulous vendors. This Lego Friends Inspired BFF Bash is full of so much inspiration you’re gonna wanna go out and buy all the LEGOS after this!
Lets get started with the invitations. I put together a previous post about these here….but they are too cute not to share again. Here is little miss Livi sharing her pint sized invite. If you’re familiar at all with the Lego Friends logo then you’ll recognize the little butterfly floating off to the right which I used as a design element thru out the party.
Inside you find the tiniest of invitations rolled up and sealed with a heart laying on top of a bed of blue jewels. This is to represent the city where all the Lego Friends live called Heartlake City.
Leilani is obsessed with the whole Friends line of Legos and has quite a few of the kits. Her favorite one being the Friendship House so that’s what I decided to base the party off of. We invited a small group of her friends over to our friendship house and built some birthday magic. Let’s check out the decor cause that’s why ya’ll are here right?
When you first walked into the living room I had a couple low tables set up where the girls could just sit around and build whatever they wanted with spare blocks and base plates I found at the dollar store.
I knew I wanted to have a crazy cool balloon garland with bright fun colors and I love how it came together so much! The bright tone colored balloons came from Shindigz. I called up my friend Dominique from CD Balloons & Crafts to help me whip it up and it was absolutely amazing! Just the wow factor I was hoping for when you walked in! When using lots of different colors for the garland I love the idea of color blocking them so it doesn’t look so busy.
Onto the sweets cause we all know how I love my cake. For the backdrop I used a seamless pink paper roll which was huge so I was able to cut the sheets to go from floor to ceiling. Plus I have enough left over for my next 20 parties so yeah worth the cost for sure. On top of that I layered a silver foil curtain because honestly it reminds me of a disco ball and who doesn’t love to disco?
I found these adorable Lego flowers at the Lego store in the mall but here are some similar ones online.
The cookies, macarons, cupcakes and yummy cake all came from Baked By Bri. How cute are these cookies displayed on the base plates? Since I couldn’t really find any cute Lego Friends party decor this was an easy way to incorporate the Lego aspect into the party.
This cake!! So, I have a thing for this style cake. I just love the fun design of all the different piping techniques. I knew I wanted to have this style cake but it doesn’t really scream Lego so I just stuffed a few Lego pieces in there and voila! You’ll notice a few heart macarons thrown in. Its all about tying all the little details together that makes for an overall wow factor.
How awesome is this acrylic sign? Acrylic is a huge party trend right now and I feel like it really gives the decor a modern twist so I was excited to incorporate some aspects into this theme. You can find acrylic sheets in many sizes at your local home improvement store. I thought up this cute saying and used my Cricut to cut it out of purple glitter vinyl. So cute!!
These acrylic risers and custom cupcake toppers are both from Shingdigz. I had my girlfriend over at Just A Little Sparkle design me a custom topper image. It just needs to be in a jpeg format and then you can upload it to their site.
I found these totes with built in base plates on their lids at Target. I customized them with all the girls names and filled them with fun activities for the party.
I set up an activity center full of Lego kits for them to play with, prizes for the bingo game to be played later and decor pieces. I wanted to incorporate a large heart to represent Heartlake City so I started with this cardboard heart and wrapped it in pink tissue fringe. Then I added glitter letter cutouts and a large paper butterfly.
I had one of my friends draw me a digital file of what Leilani might look like as one of the Lego Friends characters. Then I uploaded that image and got this perfect tabletop size cardboard cutout standee. Leilani just loves it and keeps it on her nightstand.
I’ve used these Styrofoam letters before on a few different parties. Normally I glitter or paint them but I loved the bright white next to all the colorful honeycomb balls so kept them simple.
The kids table. How cute are those kid sized ghost chairs?
I used my favorite reusable plates and cups from Re-Play in the amethyst, purple, & bright pink.
I wanted to have a somewhat interactive centerpiece so grouped some base plates together for a larger base and later on during the party while they were eating I sprinkled Legos all around the table so they could build on it.
My little love bug who’s not so little anymore. Her outfit is from Cotton On Kids.
She requested tater tots & chick fil a nuggets for lunch.
I found free printables by searching Pinterest and came across these adorable Friends bingo cards, word search and coloring pages. These were all stored inside their tote along with some glitter crayons, heart shaped sunglasses, a pack of legos to take home and a rainbow pencil for the word search.
Cake time is the best time!
Who knew Legos could be so cute? Thank you to all the vendors that helped make this day so special for Leilani. I’m already starting to brainstorm for her 9th birthday which will be Sugar Plum Fairy themed.
