In true Five Whimsy Lane fashion I am bringing to you my daughter’s 10th birthday party just a few months late. Funny thing is her birthday is in November, we had the party in January and I’m sharing it in April. What’s even funnier is I don’t think I’ve even shared her 9th birthday party yet. Bringing a whole new meaning to the term “Better late than never.” 🙂

“Race For Reilly” Fundraiser
Welcome Race Fans!
I’m excited to share with you some fun details from a recent Kentucky Derby Themed fundraiser in which I was the Chairwoman for, for my daughter’s elementary school. This event was actaully supposed to take place in March of 2020 but we had to cancel one week prior due to school closures & events not being allowed due to Covid. It was originally a different event all together with a different theme & location but once things started to open back up we had to come up with a new plan to adjust & meet all event restrictions. Fundraising during Covid times has proven to be extremely difficult with our yearly contributions from families & local businesses dropping a staggering $40,000 in one year. Which meant we had to cut out so many important activites for the kids during the school year but it also meant we had to have a really successful fundraiser. I am so proud to say that the community pulled together and we were able to raise $12,000 to benefit our kids! Princess Graysen
Once upon a time there was a sweet little princess named Graysen. She had an evil aunt who planned the most fabulous parties for all the children in the land…except for her. Every year she would call upon her aunt and ask her to come celebrate her birthday with her but her evil aunt never showed up. What Princess Graysen didn’t know was that it broke her aunts heart and this year she vowed to do whatever she could to make it up to her. So her aunt traveled thousands & thousands of miles into the cold, dark Midwest from the far far away land of California. With her she brought 10 perfect princess party chairs, 2 cousins and towed a trailer full of party decor just for her. [Read more…]
Bow Wow Meow Meow
The question of the day is are you team cat or team dog? I’m well on my way to crazy cat lady status over here so I think you know my answer but this adorable cat & dog joint birthday might have me re-thinking that. My friend Kristin has 2 daughters whose birhtdays are just a week apart. Harper who was turning 6 wanted a puppy party. Scarlett who was turning 9 wanted a cat party. I suggested since their birthdays were so close to do a joint party with both cats & dogs. So here it is, the cutest little Bow Wow Meow Meow. Now, Let’s Pawty! [Read more…]
